Entertaiment refers to a wide variety of activities performed for enjoyment and relaxation. Examples include watching movies, television shows, and video games; playing sports and games; listening to music; reading novels, short stories, poetry, or comics; and enjoying visual art. The word entertains derives from the Medieval Latin inter tenere, with the prefix inter meaning “inside” and the suffix tenere, or “to hold.” While entertainment can be considered as leisure activity, it can also serve as an educational and social function, such as inside of various styles of rite, party, non secular pageant, or satire.
The reason why many entertainment hit on themes such as backstabbing, murders and other social issues is that the human mind was evolved to react deeply to such events.
